It seems that no one really cares about Gatsby now that he is dead.
Daisy doesn’t really care that Gatsby was dead.
Tom and Daisy are a mess breaking everything or destroying things like relationships and lives.
Tom protects him and Daisy by telling Mr. Wilson that Gatsby was driving the car killing Mrs. Wilson.
